Hack Green played a central role in the defence of Britain for almost sixty years. As Britain was suffering during WWII, a number of radar stations were established to track enemy aircraft. Later during the 1950’s and 60’s, the bunker played its part during the Cold War and the Soviet threat of nuclear attack. Many servicemen and women gave their lives during these conflicts and it reputed that they still remain within the bunker attached to the building and the artefacts on display. What will we encounter when we investigate this amazing location?
